Ink & Switch only exists through the generosity of our supporters. We work with companies, governmental bodies, and individuals to find important problems, to build research teams, and, of course, to fund the research itself.
We work with supporters that share in our mission. That includes partnering with companies that can take advantage of our research and governmental bodies investing in greater capabilities for the public good. We believe that industrial research should be both ambitous and long-term while still grounded in real problems and opportunities that people recognize.
The future of technology is something we can decide. With the support of our individual sponsors, we’re able to make ambitious long-term bets and think strategically about research that is longer-term than what businesses recognize a need for.
Adam is currently GM of Platform at The Browser Company. Adam is co-founder of Heroku, founding lab director of Ink & Switch, and led the creation of Muse.
James guides our research on Programmable Ink, and is the co-founder of Heroku and Heavybit.
Orion is a core maintainer of the Automerge CRDT library, and a co-founder of Heroku.
Peter is the current lab director at Ink & Switch. Previously, he led Heroku’s data products and team.
Avi co-founded DabbleDB, and was a senior manager at Stripe. Currently he’s working on multiple projects with an aim to electrify boats and shipping.
